Context: This is an identity for Actually...Hold Up, a podcast that fact-checks pop culture stories and breaks down how misinformation harms historically oppressed communities. In a sea of podcasts, we needed to translate an abstract idea into something folks could visually absorb quickly and easily. Logo design and creative direction by me.
Approach: The goal was to represent an intellectual detangling of sorts, connecting the dots between the historical fight for narrative agency and how historically marginalized folks are often targets of misinformation today. B&W photography and grawlix were the perfect pair to show timeless issues in a contemporary light.
