Context: Actually...Hold Up is a podcast that fact-checks pop culture stories and breaks down how misinformation harms historically oppressed communities. The challenge was visually representing historical struggles for liberation and contemporary online experiences together. Logo design and visual language by me, with creative input from the Narrative Director and Executive Producer.
Approach: This visual language centers around the idea that news, history, and our personal stories are often tangled up in the webs of communication we weave online. This ethos is reflected in the brand’s elements, which can be reconfigured to create permutations that expand its graphic universe.
