Play is a big part of my process. I’m committed to a regular practice of creating things that have no practical purpose. Like all jobs, design can be a grind. I get my vibe back by letting my mind wander and trying different mediums. Ironically, play has made me better at work; I’m less precious about getting an idea from in here to out there and have zero qualms about killing my darlings. Play reminds me that I wanted to do graphic design because it’s “fun!”
